How to filter data in Byteline
In Byteline the filter node helps to filter the data based on your conditions. For instance, you have some large data, but you don’t need all of it; you can easily use the filter node and filter out the things you don’t need.
Follow the easy steps mentioned below to filter data in Byteline.
For this documentation, we are assuming you have already initiated a flow. Filter node can work with any trigger. For creating a flow design, you can refer to the guide here.
Here’s how you can configure the filter node.
Step 1: Click on the add button to add the next node.
Step 2: Select the Filter node from the node configuration window.
Step 3: Click on the edit button to configure the filter.
Step 4: A modal window will appear where you can configure the filter.
Step 5: Check the Loop over checkbox as this is mandatory.
Step 6: For loop over, you need to pick an array using the select variable tool and enter the same in the loop over input box.
Configure the Conditions
Select any of the conditions from the drop-down menu.
There are two conditions to select from:
Condition 1: AND (ALL Condition) - It will filter data from both fields.
Condition 2: OR (ANY Condition) - It will filter data from either of the fields.
Step 8: Enter the field name in the field input box.
Step 9: Now, select the condition.
Is Empty - The attribute is empty, no data exists there.
Is Not Empty - In this, the attribute has to be there; data exists there.
Step 10: Click on the Save button.
Step 11: The green color on the node indicates that the node has been successfully configured.
